I have just learn't of Paddy's illness nont surprising as I now live in Portugal. I was manager of Hartley Wintney in their succesful days and also managed the Combined Counties League Rep Side. Paddy played several times for the Rep side and was well known to me not for just his time at Godalming but also Aldershot. I tried desperately to sign him for Hartley offering him great sums of cash as well as transport but he would never leave Godalming. I would love to send a message onto Paddy but guess he may not be on e-mail...if any one has one for him it would be much appreciated. Well done to Godalming F. C. for honouring one of the nicest and funniest people I came into contact with in my football days Regards to all Ian Bedford |
