Bash won one nil in the worst game that i've seen for years, the goal coming from a complete miskick from one of the worst players on the pitch that went at least thirty yards up before it landed up in the net.

The crowd, a hardy 96 our lowest crowd for anything for years - wished i had known what they knew before kick-off

Agreed; it wasn't the best game I have ever seen. However, I thought Godalming matched their higher league opponents for much of the game so I wasn't too disappointed.

The goal was an absolute shocker but nowhere near as bad as the penalty miss that cleared the village hall!!!!

Bashley are a really friendly little club so I wish them well in the next round against Hillingdon Borough.
