As predicting Godalming scores is just for fun with no prize, if I was a player I wouldn't want to read that any supporter is expecting me to lose, so....15-1 to Godalming.

Far too much hendo haha  ore like 14-1 , but that not lightly so can’t see us winning 2-1 , we never keep a clean sheet not even against last weeks team who only had about 1 shot.
i see we are now rock bottom, and if we do loose this week we are in serious danger of getting detached from the teams above.

Ryan for Kenny from last weeks team and we’ll sneak a 2-1 victory. More changes than necessary and a 3-1 loss.

British Airways 4 - 2 Godalming



It is so frustrating watching your side play so well and yet come away with nothing in the way of points. It was a strange game and a strange result in no small way influenced by some strange decisions along the way.



We knew we would be without Ollie Stevens for this game, but having had a couple of very good performances we hoped that we might at last get a few more points. We were also without Rory Sellick, Jack Stow, Liam Gadd and Jake Heard. Mo Amghar was on the bench having been injured last week. But we had a pretty good squad on the day even if the starting eleven was strange. In the absence of Ollie it seemed we would see Ryan Villa at number 9 after some impressive games. Ryan however was selected at right back with Raisan Francis on the left and Joe Lewis and Ethan Kaiser the centre back pairing. Ben Bauchop, Richie Mbele Darren Wheeler in the midfield, with Francis Sey, Jack Cleeveley and Kenny Kasibante. Dom Hardisty, Mo Amghar and Charlie Chennel on the bench.



The Gs started really well and dominated play for the first fifteen minutes with both Francis and Kenny looking dangerous. Kenny conducted one of his great runs out on the right and then cut in to deliver a great shot that made the home keeper scramble to push it out from under the bar.



Francis set out down the left wing then cut inside and appeared to have gone perhaps too far, before he went around a couple of defenders inside the area, before beautifully curling the ball inside the far post. Putting the Gs 1-0 up and deservedly so.



A great low cross comes in from the right and Francis came into the 6-yard area at great pace and got his foot to the ball, but it went just wide.



As half time approached the hosts drew level with their first real attack of the game, pretty well out of the blue. There was just enough time for the Gs to attack again, until Ryan on the edge of the BA penalty area was penalised inexplicably with a straight red card, which looked to most people to be a 50/50 challenge.



Having dominated the play for the whole of the first half and looking comfortable, in the last two minutes of play the Gs were suddenly down to 10 men and the score was levelled.



Without Ryan, Les needed to bring on Mo at right back. He opted to substitute Kenny to be able to do so, despite the fact that he seemed to have more than the edge on the opposition defenders,



Despite being down to ten men the Gs were still doing a good job, until they were stretched at the back and a penalty was awarded to BA, which saw them 2 -1 up. Joe Lewis got a Sin Bin for dissent. So down to nine men.



About 8 minutes after coming back on from his Sin Bin Joe managed to level the score from a free kick on the edge of the area. Just as well he did, as it was amazing to see the referee re-pace out where the BA defensive wall should stand and at 8 steps, he amazingly decided that was good enough. Much to the amazement of everyone who witnessed it including is assistant next to us who found it quite amusing. Just another one of some amazing decisions on the day.





Then the hosts got a second penalty awarded after a BA shot hit a Gs defender’s arm (by his side) from extremely close range. So, 2-3 down now and M Amghar sent to the sin bin for dissent.



So back to 9 men again. Only to go down to 8 when Joe Lewis was dismissed while Mo was still Sin Binned. I could not follow how this came about and was losing the will to live.



The last goal for BA came as Gs were again pressing forward and got caught out by a long ball to a pacey substitute who managed to get a shot past Jordan, despite the attentions of Ethan Kaiser who rightly earned himself a yellow card.



Such an unreal game. The Gs have again failed to take any points against what was a pretty average side, to say the least and we face the FA Vase game next week without some crucial players, despite the talk of an appeal against the JL decision. I cannot see that getting far as I have no idea why he got the yellow in the first place. Likewise I cannot see how Ryan got dismissed.



Some truly impressive performances from those who were left on the pitch at the end and for me Raisan Francis and Francis Sey were both outstanding. Ryan was also having a great game until he was dismissed and like him Kenny only had one half to show off his skills.



Perhaps the footballing Gods will shine more favourably upon us at the weekend. I think we are due a bit of good fortune.
