I think the answers are as follows:-
1) 1899 relates to horse called GoodFriday falling at race meeting on Boxing Day at Wolverhampton
2) Not sure was it 4 (Ron and Tim Flowers) and (Billy and Danny Rose)

Ok this is how he does it , he puts the chicken in the boat takes it over and drops it off,goes back picks up the fox ,takes him over drops him off and picks the chicken back up and takes it back, he drops off the chicken and picks up the corn takes the corn over then goes back for the chicken and brings it over ! Job done .
