And just to note that the 'upcoming fixtures' on the website has the first team at home on Tuesday night, whilst we are definitely playing away at Alford.

Alfold Hendo. No disrespect to Alfold but do they have floodlights over there? I've not been that way for a little while but I don't remember seeing any. Just mentioning this in case it had been reversed. I don't wish to cause any confusion.
Edit: Just spotted their club notes says it's the first game under their new floodlights. Hope they've got plenty of 50p's.

I heard they have a new ground. I've been told WBC paid for it. Not sure whether that's true or not but if so Kudos to Alfold for getting blood out of a largely busted stone

Waverley Borough Council’s Executive Committee has approved funding to improve Alfold Football Club’s ground and facilities.
At the meeting last night (Tuesday 5 June), councillors agreed grant £20,000 to the club, which is based on Alfold Recreation Ground.
The funding will be put towards kitting out the ground with new floodlights, a 50 seat stand and a hard standing and walkway for both players and spectators, which will help the club to meet the criteria and reach its ambition of being promoted to Division 1, Step 6 football.

Dear Waverley. Please can GTFC have a new tumble dryer and a telly that doesn't make everything look green and a bit wobbly?

Not being cynical but I wonder if hidden somewhere in the background were some Dunsfold Park Developers connections.
But no, good luck to them, they used initative and it worked for them.
Maybe Godalming's Waverley elected reps. should take note and pull on their strings a little harder. What's good for the Goose is good for the Gander.
Perhaps they would invest in an all weather pitch for Wey Court. Now that would help ALL the community.

Apologies to those that went to Wey Court on Sunday expecting to see the Ladies First Team play. Unfortunately they were due to play Hampstead LFC in the Surrey FA Capital Womens Cup but Hampstead LFC have now folded so Godalming have been given the home win and progress to the next round.
