With no game for the Gs and an eye on upcoming fixtures, I watched Ash playing British Airways on Saturday.
After an early Ash goal, BA romped ahead 4-1 before being pegged back to 4-3 by the end.
We know Ash is an excellent side already, but what of BA? Unsurprisingly, considering their name, three of their goals came from the aerial route with very well placed shots from the both corners of the box looping over the keeper’s head into the far corners. Jordan beware!
They looked an impressive unit, particularly upfront, but I did think that with BA ticket prices being what they are, the club could have splashed out on some better shirts for their players. They were wearing wafer-thin plain white T shirts that obviously had shrunk in the wash as the bottoms were barely within shouting distance of their shorts.
I’m assuming they must have been the result of a special offer from Matalan of ‘Buy one, get ten free’.
