Jon Palmer steps down as first team manager

Following recent talks with the club chairman Jon Palmer has tendered his resignation as first team manager, which has reluctantly been accepted by the club. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Jon for all his hard work and commitment to Godalming Town both as a player and as a manager taking over the first team in the midst of a difficult season. We would like to wish Jon all the best for the future.

The search will now begin for a new management team and the club will make a further announcement when this process is completed.

I really did think a proper pre season with these two in charge would of brought some good times back to the club good luck to both of you where ever you go.
Atleast the cranewife's wishes have come true.

Hey Cobbles6@, thanks for the name check yet again. I have an old pair of socks, do you want to wear them?  Did I ever call for Jon and Gavin to leave? What I was puzzled about was the rose tinted views that appeared to be predicting a bright tomorrow while the results on the pitch were shocking. I asked a few times what this positivity was based on but never really got a response. 
Anyway hopefully we can discuss next season when we are both pitch side cheering the lads on. Will you be there?

That’s two mistakes you’ve made, this time last season you had Turks going to Fleet and now  me being in the hat. You get the best gossip by meeting with club officials and asking. 
Interestingly or not, at the last but one home game I asked whether Jon and Gav would  be staying and was told, Gav would probably not.
So hopefully the club has been preparing a contingency.

I've tried it for a number of years the cranewife.many hrs spent down the club on my own washing kits etc. Unfortunately I've moved away and couldn't do no more.
Also I'll pass on your sock offer especially if they look like your shorts lol.
