I think the game is up Charterhouse. You’re right, with the division we’re in there is at least 6 or 7 that should be seriously looked at! Get an older experienced player in each of defence, midfield and striker with these youngsters could work very well. I think getting local lads in will get more commitment from the players than we’ve seen in a very long time and might even get a few more supporters down.

Hi Tg,
Would be great if you could confirm time and location for the U18 side deciding match tomorrow. I have emailed Sam the Manager and am waiting for a reply.
Thanks

I suspect it's a minority point of view but personally I wish them luck. Can't imagine the FA will change anything as they don't give a rat's arse about football at our level. Struggling clubs should be supported and helped by the league, not ostracised because you never know when it might be your own club that needs a helping hand.

What is their crime, isn’t this the club that was set up by one man.

They were warned by the league about discipline and hospitality halfway through the season. As far as I understand they improved their discipline and for the second half of the season they were eighth best behaved in Div 1. but the hospitality was still not up to standard by the end of the season. Somebody at the EGM summed it up when they said they're not a club, they're a team and don't really have the resources and volunteers to draw on the way that other clubs do. I kind of feel the league should be supporting struggling clubs and asking what they can do to help rather than booting them out. I'm not sure that we've ever played them so there may be mitigating factors that I'm unaware of but from a PR point of view the 'optics' are pretty grim so we'll see what the FA decides. Decision moved back to 9th Aug I think.
