Knowing your likings to Rugby League and just in case you missed it at Lunchtime "cranewife" there was a interesting documentary on the 1968 Wakefield Trinity/Leeds Final at flooded Wembley Stadium with the legendary Don Fox and of course that commentating icon Eddie Waring. All good stuff in good old black and white. I'm enjoyed it so I'm going to watch it again on the Iplayer. The game that followed wasn't too bad either with two of the tries involved running 90 yards. Lung busters! I'm looking forward to tomorrow's game just to see what Toronto Wolverines have to offer.

Is that the game where he missed from in front of the sticks? There’s a huge gulf between Superleague Clubs and Championship clubs, as Warrington ( my home town) are demonstrating. Loved the Ben Thaler cameo sin binning the Toronto Captain for querying a decision. It’s an aspect of the game which should be brought into football. Bobby Webbe would manage about 5 minutes a game.

Yes, we have some agreement.
First thing; yes it was the Don Fox unfortunate miss.
Yes that control should be brought into Soccer. The 3 Huttons, Jack Mazzone and Glen Stanley would really have been brought down to earth and wouldn't have been on the pitch very long.
I liked Saturday's game and the way it started I was enjoying today's offering. Toronto played well and deserved their lead but then the ill discipline started to creep in. I can't remember another game where the Referee was shown so little respect. Was it a case of the mercenaries of Toronto got too big for their boots, but there was also some from Warrington. Up until today I have always felt that R/L players had the utmost respect for the Ref. and accepted his decisions without question. Today, I'm afraid. after those first 20 minutes it became dire and there was no learning. Yes, that was a great decision sending the Captain to the bin; I'm sure he'd already been lectured to twice. I also thought that Hill? should have received a yellow when he just turned around and walked away whilst being spoken to

Mercenaries? It’s rare today for anybody to stay in the same job and most will move if someone offers more money. It’s what you do with your current employer that’s important
