As I relaxed on a seat out in the shade in the garden this afternoon I thought to myself the following:
"Games on Monday and Weds that mean nothing to anybody. Perhaps it would have made sense to risk a CCL fine and concede the games. The fine might probably work out less than the cost of the expenses involved for the two games and it would also eliminate the hassle of having to get another two teams out on the pitch within three days. Not very fair b*gg**ing up players and supporters Bank Holiday weekend."
"It's made more annoying when you look back at the recent blank Saturdays, and the re-arrangements that weren't due to Gees postponements."
I thought it made sense. Well I can remember how difficult it was trying to get cricket teams out on a holiday weekend. Just a thought. Back to relaxation.

Brilliant reverse psychology. Well done. Just the message to cause a positive reaction from supporters, managers, officials and players who really care about the club. Obviously you know that watching your team, playing the game you love, actually enhances a Bank Holiday and certainly edges out an outing to Homebase. Fans like watching, players like playing and who wouldn't prefer that to occur on a balmy summer's day rather than a bleak snow-swept January Tuesday? Equally you knew that if we actually, even for a moment, suggested conceding the games it would have given a clear signal to the supporters, present and future players as well as most importantly; the league, that the Club has given up on itself at a time when we are at our most vulnerable. Your message is a clear call to arms. No matter what, we fight to the end, hold our heads high and count ourselves proud to be Gs.

Excellent post Hendo, after the dog running on at Guildford I saw my first Deer at a CCL game, it was watching the game from about 5 yards behind me. Cant have had much of view but better than some posters on here.
