Not being a Godalming resident I've only just come across the full article that was published in Get Surrey 3 days ago.
Broadwater Park Golf Club:
Unusual reason for two-year closure - and it's to do with metal, plastic and glass appearing out of nowhere.
Well presumably the Wey Court football ground was originally constructed on that same rubbish tip. I wonder if those same nasties and beasties are lurking just below the surface of the Gees hallowed turf.
Just thinking about it; if it is and the same conditions have to apply here surely that would give a great opportunity for the installation of an all weather surface by Waverley Council.
Not wishing to be rumour mongering with a story; just commenting on the full article. It would be good if perhaps some other members came on board with their thoughts.
