I know I am not part of GTFC anymore but I think I new bill as much as anyone. I would like to offer a suggestion on how to remember our legend. 1. Rename the ground the BILL KITE STADIUM. 2 . Ask his life long club Huddersfield town fc if they would consider a memorial game in his honour in next season. Don’t shout me down I am willing to help with any of this if ask.

Brilliant idea Shep. I'd love to see a game in Bill's honour and Huddersfield would be the perfect choice. I also think we should put his name forward to Godalming Museum's wall of faces. Long overdue and pretty easy to sort out. Happy to help with this.

Hi Kev,
Great to hear from you.
Quite agree with your suggestion and Giles' comment about the Museum. Sure there will be others who would like to help as well.

Maybe a statement would be appropriate on club thoughts as the forum would be good place to judge opinions.

Thinking about it, local lad Mark Hudson is on the coaching staff at Huddersfield so it shouldn't be too difficult. Again, I am happy to help where needed. Just ask.

Was at @godalmingtown to pay my respects to Bill today. What a fantastic send off he got and truly deserved. I was privileged to get to know him. Was really nice to see so many great people from my time there as well. RIP Mr Godalming Town
