Stupidly, as the weather seemed fine, I didn't check Twitter so turned up at the ground unaware of the postponement. My fault entirely, but the afternoon was not wasted, however, as I watched part of a lively match being played on an adjacent pitch on the same patch of grass which, magically, had escaped the ice by the trick of being a hundred yards away from CW's ice rink.

R but was there a fence inbetween the two pitches, because they always say the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, so it proves that's a true saying thanks to your info. Merry Christmas 🎄 everyone!!

John, another ten minutes drive on Saturday and you could have seen the mighty Terrors of Tooting hammer Thurrock 4-1. The match was sponsored by the British Ambassador to Latvia. Honest . |
