I'm sure you'll agree, an excellent game, but a disappointing result "Cranewife".

Do you agree the shirts and shorts Rugby players wear are so much smarter than the ridiculous baggy outfits that go back to the Matthews/Finney era the soccer players have to wear nowadays.

I can't remember the details but some years back they weighed the kits before and after a game. It was amazing how much extra weight those baggy outfits meant that the players carried around when they were soaking wet.

Remember that episode of The Likely Lads when they spent the entire day avoiding the score, that’s me today, not because I don’t want to know the score but I can’t take the stress of watching. I got the result about 5 minutes after it ended, gutted that’s it was so close and we lost. What’s helping us is that  I think 5 of our squad play in the NRL and so are used  to the higher level of competition.

When are we are going to meet up  for a post match Christmas Drink. I can share with you some of my Alex Murphy stores, or Sir Alex as he’s called in Warrington.
