There was an interesting interview with one of the few genuine Football Managers, Neil Warnock on Football Focus. An Englishman/Yorkshireman through and through, a real salt of the earth with a great record in the leagues.
A very interesting subject he brought up was the fact that at previous clubs he'd managed and had obtained promotion the players and himself got together and had 10 year re-unions. "We all cared about the clubs we were at", he said. "Can you imagine if Manchester City were to win the title this year; do you think they would be meeting up in 10 years time". "Would they by 'eck".
How very true Neil; money grabbing mercenaries and agents the scourge of football.
Edit: I purchased a copy of his book at a car boot sale the other week. A truly interesting read.

Oh this is two posts me and Shotts are going to agree on. Mr Warnock used to have a great weekly column in Saturdays Independant, he came accross as a humerus well balanced guy. Btw the Mighty Mighty Manchester United have an x players association and they do have regular meet ups.

If Godalming had a reunion (or should it be releague) just for the players from the last two seasons, we'd have to hire the Albert Hall to get them all in, and even then we might need a marquee for the overflow.

Good point Hendo......so with no cheating can anyone hazard a guess as to how many players the once mighty Gs have registered /played in the last 5 seasons (let alone 10!). My guess will be 180

I think that 180 is a conservative estimate. I wouldn't be surprised if the number is above 200. In the first eight games since Jon and Gavin took over, 35 players have been used !
