The matches come thick and fast at the moment. Our next game is against Farnham Town on Sat. Pundits will then have time to take stock as the next game is not until Tues 14th Nov. So lets have those PREDICTIONS.

Hoping for a 2-0 win, wishful thinking maybe? Surely we're due a win soon. Hopefully have a full subs bench too so Jon and Gav can make the changes they want.

Poor, that was poor!
Farnham were not good but much better than us and deserved the win. If it wasn't for our GK and their dreadful defending we would have been at least a few down by half time. The team we have are simply not good enough to keep us in this division let alone get us up. I think Jon and Gav have a bigger job on their hands than they first thought. We need 5 or 6 new lads ASAP. Not sure how easy it is to do but this squad will not keep us up.

I agree – Saturday was poor to say the least.
The positives were the goalkeeper who made some excellent saves and kept the score line respectable and John Bennett who, while completely isolated up front, kept chasing the ball and looked dangerous when he did get some service.
The big thing that bugged me about Saturday though was positioning; and this for me is where players have to take responsibility. Players at this level should know to tuck in when you don’t have the ball and to try and create width when you do have it. Too often the managers are having to verbally move people who seem completely unable to get into position. The big problem on Saturday was that while we tucked in to defend, as soon as we got the ball there was very little movement and in the end the ball had to bypass our midfield for pretty much the whole game. Sadly this meant our biggest threat was a long ball from one of the centre backs that left John Bennett trying to feed off scraps.
I am a fan of Robert Webbe but he really isn’t a centre back. He got caught on the ball a couple of times due to a complete lack of movement in front of him and he really needs to play centre midfield. He has the best range of passing in the team and he does create chances when he is in the middle of the park so I would like to see him play there.
While some people will disagree with me – I still think that for big chunks of the game we defended 10 or 15 yards to deep. On Saturday you saw this as the midfield had to retreat to try and get goal side of the ball which left a 40 yard gap between them and the strikers. If Farnham had strikers with lightening pace I would have understood defending deep but the truth is that they had a very average team and didn’t pose that threat.
Apologies for being a little negative but Saturday was really disappointing.

Maybe it should be a case of hanging out the olive branch and endeavouring to get DW to return! Gees would then be in with a chance of some crosses and some shots and some crosses/shots that ended in the net. Come back DW.

A friendly against Badshot Lea tomorrow evening but then sadly nothing on Saturday; couldn't a fixture have been brought forward from the icy weeks of the new year and then it's on to the possible demoralising fixture away to Dorking Wanderers. When yer luck's down everything seems against yer.
