So what does the club need to stop this horrendous run of form.........how about calling a meeting for ALL supporters to turn up and make a plan to keep the Men's team at this level.

I think the answer is give Jon, Gav and the lads our full support. I would encourage those who have not been down or not down for a while to come down this Saturday make some noise and get behind the G's.

Don’t panic Mr Mannering, not yet anyway. Still got 78 points available this season and from what I saw last week we will soon be gathering some of them up. It was very incouraging to see both managers Instructing the team from the dugout. Good times will return . Can’t make Saturday 😤 gutted! .best choice since Bakes &Unders!for me coyg's

No don't Panic crete2000; goldenoldie sums it up well. All those points still available to play for. I accept it might not be the right attitude but it does only need enough points to stay up although everyone wishes for more than that and a steady climb upwards. Yes admin, a need to get behind the team but can I just say; would it not be a good idea for one or both of our managers to be named amongst the subs. Their experience can then be given on the field as well as from touchline observations. COYG's

Not sure about panic but that was a poor performance last night. Apart from a 15minute spell in the second half we were generally second best accross the field. Number 14 made a difference when he came on,running at their defence and prepared to take a shot.
Plenty of points to play before but our last few games have been against middle to lower teams.

I understand that it is Gav and Jon's intention to get registered so they can be Subs if required. I'm not sure how long this takes.

There's often a very small difference between winning and losing. A slightly bigger crowd and a few enthusiastic fans can make the difference.

Behind the scenes things seem to be on an upward trend, I think?
On the pitch I'm not sure we can do a great deal as supporters. I'm sure Jon and Gav are in contact with plenty of players from their previous clubs. We simply need 4 or 5 better players, certainly players that are more consistent and fitter. I know most players are signed to clubs so not sure how these things work but maybe a couple of trial nights would be more beneficial?

Sam Allardyce said that the key to success in lower leagues is a big goalie, a big centre half and a big centre forward so the team has a powerful central spine. We've got a... er....

Sadly it is getting a little deeper than slightly worrying but no one gives up. It's just frustrating. The two managers WILL get Gees back on the up; it's just a matter of being patient and giving them time to sort everything out.
For what it is worth I have more faith in our current two managers than any of the previous four incumbents, and I'm sure most other supporters probably feel the same.
So COYG's

Don’t include me. Zip points so far, that’s not good in my book.

Judging by Dimi’s performance on Saturday I wouldn’t swap him for anyone. One of the best individual performances I’ve seen in a Godalming shirt for quite some time. If yoy’re Good enough you’re tall enough

Nah, it was definitely a shirt. Jersey's an island for Her Majesty's tax dodging pals. If I was forced to deviate from shirt I'd have to opt for jumper which is also a handy trait in compact goalies

I remember those days! A big green woolly jumper, roller neck and sleeves two feet longer than my arms and down to my knees, and when it rained it weighed a ton and almost reached the ground. Oh and woolly gloves you try catching a ball in woolly gloves in the wet ! That hit you like a cannon ball and a lace on the outside, and a sixteen stone center forward following close behind, trying to barge everything into the net. Proper football! Oh and the first pair of boots I was given had. Wooden bars nailed across the bottom of them , and the nails came through the bottom and stuck in your feet . And had to be dubboned every week to try to keep the leather soft enough to put on . A bit like shottermiller old boots i had shin pads made from hessian with bits of bamboo stuffed inside.

That sums it up perfectly. Of course when the Ron Springett Sure Grip Gloves came in it became a little easier. And then the cotton type tops with padded chests. Those were the days.

Hay shots do you remember the days of the dreaded lace, when you were to frightened to head the ball incase the lace took your eyes out, you could see the lace spinning around the ball, or the rubber bladder poking out .
