Goals from Glen Stanley, Joe Chandiram and new kid Alan Morrais sealed the win for Town in what was a competitive pre-season friendly at Charterhouse school.
Visitors Wellingborough United had a number of opportunities during the first half with a goal being disallowed after 15 minutes. But it was Godalming that finished the first half more on top, with shots from mazza, Chandiram, Stanley, lydon and new player graham purdy from Frimley Green all coming close but finished 0-0 at half time.
Henry Robbins, Simon Hamilton and Alan Morrais came on after the break to give others a breather. A move down the left with good link up play from between robins and morrais led to morrais scoring the opening goal on 60 minutes, then stanley made it 2-0 on 70. A penalty was awarded to wellingboro after a player was brought down in the box by town keeper Aulsberry, which was placed in the left hand corner of the net making it 2-1 and then a Joe Chandiram header on 80mins made it 3-1 sealing the win.
Next up at Charterhouse are visitors Oxhey Jets from the Spartan League on Sat 21st July Kick off 3pm.
