Lucky win last night, if 11 men had stayed on the pitch for Chertsey they could have easily got something out of the game against a very disappointing Godalming.

Not sure I agree. Chertsey had hardly any chances in the second half even before the sending off. The Godalming defence was hardly troubled.
Considering Chertsey are second in their league it was also a poor showing from the home side!
I think the wind conditions and that both sides were rusty after so many postponments also had an impact on the game.
Roll on a quarter final clash with..................Old Hamptonians!!!

Just so you know. Old hamptonians were formed in 1905 from Hampton private school in middlesex. They are currently 2nd in their league which is the Amateur football combination premier division (basically a league were all old private schools play). Their past students include the lead guitarist from Queen and they play in gold shirts with black shorts. Apparently.

Hello from an Old Hamptonian.
You have indeed got your Old Hamptonians history correct!
We are an amateur club entering this cup competition for the first time and had a good win 3-2 at Feltham in the second round after being 2-0 down and we are now looking forward to the challenge at Godalming.
I note from your website that 175 people attended the Chertsey game. We normally play in front of about 10! Most of our players have some semi-pro experience but of course we dont have anything like the facilities, training or coaching set up that you will have.
Ultimately, I guess our success in the game will depend on how seriously Godalming take us and the players that you put out.
Regards,
Ben

You should be in for a nice surprise when you visit Weycourt then! We have played pretty much our strongest side in the competition so far this season. Personally I am looking forward to the game! Any idea as to when its going to be?
