We have a limit of 150. We probably won't reach that figure but being all ticket will make life a bit easier for the gate staff, as well as giving us a definitive list of attendees for track and trace purposes.

Godalming 1 – 1 Guildford (Godalming won 4-1 on penalties)
This was the Bill Kyte Memorial Cup encounter and how I am sure Bill would have enjoyed the experience. I am please to say that some of his family were able to make it to the game and hand the Trophy over to the Gs captain Rory Sellick. The first silverware of the season for the home side. Let’s hope that there is more to come.
This was a thrilling encounter from start to finish with the hosts again taking on opposition from the Combined Counties Premier League a level above us.
It was a match which was decided by the performances of the goal keepers and today was Adrian Giles day. He made a huge difference to the team when he signed up last season and continues to prove what a good player he is. The recent games, which I along with the other supporters, have been allowed to watch have not called on his talents too much. But today he was the difference. Saving two of the penalties in the shoot-out brought the silverware home to Wey Court.
For me It brought back memories of some stunning goalkeeping that we have been blessed with at Wey Court and in particular a fine performance from Sam (Jake) Sommerville, who did a Giles for us against Woking in the Surrey Senior Cup some 6 (I think) years ago under the floodlights. We went on to beat Sutton in the final at their place Gander Green Lane.
We have seen quite a few impressive players at the last few games and today there were one or two of them missing. But we started well and really showed that we would not be dominated by the visitors.
There were a few ex Gs amongst the visitors one of my personal favourites in Izy Nzello a splendid guy and always welcome at Wey Court. Also Jordan Cavender and Roberto De Santos who featured for the Gs at the end of last season.
Phil, the boss, had the day off, so Tony Roberts was in charge of the squad ably supported by the rest of the management team. It is comforting to see that everything is in place for once. A change from previous years.
After about half an hour of play, which saw nothing too much to trouble either of the keepers, the Gs were awarded a free kick in front of the goal between the half way line and the Guildford area, which was taken by Lekan Osideko in the absence of Sam Taylor. The ball bounced out off of a defender to the Gs right flank, where Sam Boultwood retrieved it and delivered a high cross to the edge of the 6 yard box, where the Guildford keeper attempted to punch clear, but was only partially successful and he attempted to catch the ball as it came back down, but played the ball down between Kai Francis and James Robertson, who took full advantage putting the home team 1-0 up to the delight of the home crowd. Hope this will be available as a video soon.
Rory Sellick was leading the midfield by example, as usual, but was penalised with a yellow card for a challenge on the half way line.
At half time the Gs went in deservedly in the lead.
Clearly Guildford would not let that go without an effort to level the score and in the second half they started to put more pressure on the home side as you would expect. But Adrian was there and had everything well covered when he was needed.
Sam Boultwood was subbed off for a new player, called Wesley I believe and soon after that Rory and George Peterkin were also subbed off with Elijah carter and Josh Ogunseye coming on.
With 30 minutes to go the goal scorer James Robertson was subbed off for Dexter Skip.
Whilst this gave the Gs more pace up front, they did seem to find that it was opening the door for the visitors to attack down their right wing and they were keeping Adrian Giles on his toes with some smart saves.
At the other end the Gs came very close to making it 2-0 when they had a great attack themselves down their right with Josh using his pace to good effect before putting the ball into the area for Lekan to hit a low shot that the visiting keeper need to get down to fast at full stretch and just about recovered the ball after taking the sting out of it.
However, as we have seen before, if you do not convert your chances you can find it bites you on the bum. And so, it was, as the visitors scored an equaliser as they went again down their right flank to score well. Even Adrian could not stop it.
Dom Hardisty came on for Kai Francis to bolster the defence and midfield. We held out to the final whistle.
So, it was down to a penalty shoot-out.
Gs went first with Dexter Skip confidently blasting the ball into the back of the net.
Then Gilesie pulled of the first save of the shoot-out, to the roars of appreciation from the Gs supporters. 1-0 to Gs.
James Robertson then also converted confidently for the Gs. Guildford scored their second attempt. So now it was 2-1 to the Gs.
Elijah Carter next up for the Gs and he also smashes the ball into the net to put us 3-1 up before Gilesie rocks Wey Court with his second super save diving to his right.
So, it was Josh up next to score for the Gs and put the result in no doubt, which he did with great confidence.
Great to see Rory lead the team in celebrating and it was so apt after another great show from all of the squad from those in the starting line-up to the subs who came on. They all played their parts.
,
After the disappointments of the last couple of seasons, it does seem that there is a mood of confidence building at The Bill Kyte Stadium. The proof of the pudding, of course, will be in the eating and who know how things will pan out when the league fixture start.

Great write-up, thanks Graham, of a hugely enjoyable match.
Both sides deserve credit for playing competitively but fairly, and what a great atmosphere too with Guildford bringing a good following.
Really impressed with the Gs and can't wait to test ourselves against League opposition. We look a whole lot better than last season and there seems a great spirit in the camp - well done Ruggs and his team.
Hopefully we're close to finalising the squad and Ruggs will give us an update soon. (And if there's a team sheet available for yesterday I'd love to see it please).
COYGs.
