Good to hear Phil will be here, didn’t have chance to see what he could last season so hopefully the government will let us get a decent length pre season in so he can see what is available to him. Would be nice to go into the season with players that are of the right standard and committed for a change so it’s not who’s who every Saturday afternoon.
don’t know if there’s a manager in place for the U18’s but I think there will be plenty of local lads wanting to play for the, this year. Farncombe youth had a strong team last year and I know at least 5 or 6 of those lads are planning on coming down (a few were already there last year) and a few local boys from the year above. Not sure many if any would be physically strong enough for first team yet but hopefully the following year?

Hey guys just wanted to say a few things, firstly hopefully everyone health wise is very well. Secondly I'm very much looking forward to getting back in the saddle as they say, a fresh start as such and I know the rest of the management team in Tony and Steve are aswell.lets get the G's moving.
In regards to preparations for next season and the under 18's. Under 18's first we did advertise for a new management team for this song season and we had a good response and are in the middle of contacting them further. Again looking for stability and a pathway for progression.we are looking to see how this moves forward.
With the first team we are hoping to add a goalkeeper coach soon as well as maybe one other coach to help us move forward ourselves
Team wise as with everyone the lads are missing the sport but health is more important. We have had some good conversations with current and potential new players coming into the club.
We are trying to organise as normal preparing friendlies and also pre season training but again we are on the governments and fa's go ahead.
One thing we want to do as a management team is to get the players, committee and supporters together for a drink once we return.
We as a management team have been in constant conversation with Matthew (chairman) and the committee in regards to next season and the support has been spot on.
We all want the club moving in the right direction and to do this we will need to do it together.
Once we can give you more we will Stay safe and hopefully see everyone soon.
Cheers.

Another good update ruggs, your communication will go along way making people take notice of the club again, something that has been missing since the good days of bakes and unders. Glad you and your backroom staff are committed to godalming as this club deserves and should be back up the pyramid and in you I truly believe you will deliver.
