Yes I'll second all the replies, finally a manager who is open friendly and has the balls to do simple things and communicate maybe it will rub off on other members, good luck phil, will be surprised tho if today's game is on.

As I said, a good update but slightly unnerving that players have left the club and I’ve never seen them play

So today's game is off and the league have given us a two week break with the Corona virus around us
On the players that have been allowed to leave-
George smith, shariff and I spoke and they wasn't going to get the game time they wanted as I have brought others into he club and also lads that were here already were in front of them, also commitment to training/ attitudes go along way with me and the the management team. it wasn't personal towards the players as they are both nice lads just best to be honest with them .
I have helped move George to a club nearer to him and shariff is trying at clubs bearer to where he lives

Just a question to ruggs, just say the league didn't restart and godalming did get relegated would you stay and bring us back up or leave .

I ask would the league relegate us, we are just about to start a nine match unbeaten run, that would be unfair. Also imagine the slump in gates at other grounds where we have represented sometime 50% of their support.

Reply to cobblers.
When I spoke with Matt and the committee guys about the management role I did say I wanted to be here as long as they wanted me here.
I would like to be here long term whatever the league maybe and hopefully the supporters stick with us
Godalming has a good history as a club and is a proper traditional one in my view.it shouldn't be where it is now.
The management and myself hopefully can keep stabilising it and take the club forward again. I do hope the club doesn't get relegated
Hope this helps.

Excellent words Ruggs - a breath of fresh air. Good luck in your quest.
And yes we know sadly why the club sunk down to where it is.
