Taken from the godalming times... A new £5 million dream stadium fit for conference football could be a reality for ambitious godalming town within the NEXT 4 YEARS. Goes on to say chairman is in talks with council and sponsors to push the deal through.
WHOOO, willy grove in the conference, CANT WAIT!!!

It says it in the paper! But remember, it says Conference GROUND not level. Lets focus on the job in hand!

If this happens it would be a wonderful thing for Godalming Town FC, but do you really want to keep that SHED END or would you lie a NEW SHED END with more terracing and cover, and you can get more than 10 people in it.
But good luck with getting the ground upgraded, We are still awaiting the building of ours.

of course we love the shed end but if a new stadium is being built on top of it then thats ok. So long as the new 'road' side of the ground is named the shed end. I think its brilliant for the club and the community but its not just going to be for us is it? we will probably have to host concerts or other sports there as the council is involved so it won't neccessarily be Godalming's ground will it? Still it will be fantastic in 4 or so years time hopefully if all goes to plan but as Ed was saying our only priority right now should be staying in the ryman league. Also, if the wey court is being developed where would we ground share for a couple of seasons. or could the ground be used as work is going on?

If we get the chance to get a brand spanking new shed end which isnt made from scaffolding and tape, we should take it
