A great win by Godalming today. We thoroughly deserved the 3 points and dominated the game.
Roger should be very pleased with the way his side came back today. Well done Sterro and well done to all the lads today! Get in there!!!

Godalming responded superbly following their mauling at Dulwich in midweek. The home side were side were always in control and thoroughly deserved this win.
Danny Newman opened the scoring with a tight angled strike after 9 minutes. Joe Chandiram doubled the lead following a great run and finish on 19 minutes. Shaun Lydon put Godalming further ahead with a dink past the keeper which trickled over the line six minutes later.
After the break Godalming were unlucky not to have been awarded a penalty when Chandiram was taken out inside the area. Late in the game Newman headed over the bar with Ashford keeper Simon Overland stranded.
Overall Ashford rarely threatened whilst Godalming manager Roger Steer will be delighted with his side's fighting spirit.
