Just like the old Andy Grey boot room. Need this level of pre-game insight next season Glen and Nick!

I think our defenders need to watch out for the giant cat more than anything else.
Oh, and not abuse, but you need to tidy your room.

It’s almost Cup Final time… My feeling is that we are massive, massive underdogs but are easily good enough to beat Conference sides on our day. I spoke with one of the Sutton management yesterday and he told me that they were training at the Surrey Sports Park at the time. Apparently they train there 3 days a week – so given that they play on Saturdays I guess they could be considered almost a pro side. They sent scouts to the Beaconsfield and Biggleswade matches.
Whilst Sutton have home advantage, we are technically the home team so will have the home dressing room and will wear our yellow kit.
There are around 100 Gs travelling on two coaches and one minibus from Godalming. Plus many, many more by car. I hear that most of the Youth and Ladies Team players will be attending too. Farncombe Youth are providing 11 mascots for the game and will also be out in force. I believe we will have around 200+ at the game so hopefully the crowd will be pushing 1,000.
Whilst we have been spoilt for choice over the last two years, one of my favourite Gs moments is Richard Shittu curling the ball past the Sutton keeper to put us 2-1 up in the Final last time. Great memories! The win certainly made the summer more bearable after losing in the Playoff Final three days earlier.
Bring it on.

Well a week is a long time in football, after the heartbreaking defeat against Biggleswade, it has taken us a few days to gee each other up, and that was myself and Jon, however we have been really positive since about Thursday, and have least started plans for pre season, and talking to potential new players to come in pre season, obviously we hope to keep the majority of the squad with a few tweaks here and there... I think with Biggleswade winning it really hit home how close we got this season, and hopefully there is a sense of let's do a Dulwich and a Sutton, who 2 years on the bounce missed out in play offs, only to win it in the 3rd year. We move onto tomorrow's game, and it is now one that we can really look forward too, Sutton have been flying for most of this year, and with 9 wins on the bounce, we are huge underdogs, but we know our lads love a challenge, and we go there looking to put last year right, where a weakened side got put to the sword by Sutton. Sutton is a great club who I know well having played there under John Rains who was a remarkable man, and I look forward to going back tomorrow. In terms of the squad then obviously we are without Blounty, and Ben Ed will also miss the game having picked up what looks like torn ankle ligaments against Biggleswade. I know we have 3 pre season friendlies lined up already, with more to be announced soon, however the ones confirmed are Hayes and Yeading on 23rd July at their 4g pitch, Saturday the 3rd of August away against Met Police, which is a great one to have, and Saturday 10th of August home to Hampton and Richmond. Anyway will be great to see as many of you there tomorrow, and even better if you can congregate together, lets hope for a positive game, and that we can finish an excellent season on a high.

Tremendous team performance by all the lads and no more than they all deserve. Well done to bring home the cup to Godalming.
Sutton were outplayed in every department and we got the result that the team deserved. Great to hear some noise from the travelling support too.

What a fantastic night. Matched Sutton all over the field, and despite periods of pressure from them I can't remember them having a proper shot on target. This is Sutton who are two leagues higher than us, and won their last 9 (nine) games of the season.
Right, better get editing these photos!

Awesome result.
Surely this must now be recognised as the best ever Godalming side.

I have only been watching for 30 years but this is by far the best G's side there has been.

Bakes and I are very proud managers after last night. Cannot praise the lads enough for the character they showed last night against the form team in the Conference South.
I don't think anyone outside of the changing room would have any idea just how down our boys have been since the play-off defeat but they showed fantastic character last night. I thought our work-rate was phenomenal, our quality at times was very good but more than anything our concentration and the way we defended as a team was first class.
It still hurts that we didn't get promoted, especially when we know this team could compete at a higher level, but at least we can go in to the summer in a positive frame of mind now and come back stronger to have a go next time.
Would like to thank the fans who have been great all season but were amazing last night. We're just so pleased that we were able to give you a night to remember!

As a Sutton fan I was bitterly disappointed with our performance last night. However I must praise your team on a great team effort. Your defence played extremely well and I don’t think you keeper had a shot to save.
All the best for next season. I’m sure we will be seeing more of you in the future.

Great performance from the team last night we deserved to win. I was really pleased with the amount of noise the we got going made a great atmosphere for the game somehow we need to get this going at home next season. Anyway its been a great season with many highs and very few lows and that was the perfect ending.

I think that the supporters were on top form last night. We had it all......Drums, Cucumbers and a very irate Sutton Utd steward who very nearly received a cucumber for his troubles! The coach journey to the ground was full of very amusing moments. I agree with 'harris' that we need to up the ante for home games but it is difficult as most of us are on 'GTFC' matchday duty. The sambuca count was high, with Lakey consuming a double at the bar. Highlight after the game was at The Leathern Bottle with Jane on the sambucas and dancing to the beat of the drum! Emotional.

We beat a very good Conference South side in a cup final at their own ground. This was a truly remarkable achievement for the club.
We looked superb all over the pitch but particular credit must go to the defence. I thought Lakey was immense.
What a great, great night.
p.s. feeling vaguely human again now!
