Onefinfarncombe, some good answers there, good to see others come on and sat there but.
Well well well,so gtfc looks like you've burnt a good bridge with a local club in so many ways that has done alot to help gtfc over the years free of charge hey ho lol.
One more question, alot has been said part of this agreement with kickstart was they run the under 18 youth team which will hopefully provide phil and his staff with some decent talent for the first team.
But what if the men running the youth team aren't up to what phil is looking for, would they be told to leave, and if this was to happen wouldn't that ruin the whole kickstart set up with gtfc, may be phil ruggles could answer this one.

I have read everyone's messages and I have also spoken to Pete hirons on the phone reference local clubs. It is interesting from all sides
For me without sounding rude my main role is to ensure that we bring some pride and wins to the first team and look to progress forward.
In regards to the u18 side we on social media as a club asked for applications for the new role which was vacant and we had a many apply with different backgrounds and experience of guys that applied
From all conversations we had with them we felt that jack and Luke was the best fit for the u18 set up from the ppl who applied.
I have said before that I want to be here for more than a few years. we want to build foundations to kick on as a senior section and this will also look at the u18 team progressing as well. I will imagine this will still be full of local lads who have progressed at the local clubs and now want to push on into senior football. And we want that to be with godalming town still.
We will support them as much as we can from a first team point as I want to continue to see lads push from the youth team into the senior side as we have seen from previous seasons

Hi Phil,
Just to say that as per telephone calls I will still be in close contact and advise of any local Youth players in older 16 plus bracket that would be worth a look at for U18 GTFC and hopefully eventually 1st team. Often asked by Players and Parents what happens when time at local Youth football comes to an end.
Hope to eventually meet you in person at GTFC after what I hope would be the first of many wins to follow on this journey of getting GTFC back into a higher league.
Until then I wish you, your Staff and GTFC the best of luck.
All the best
Peter

Thanks for your reply ruggs, totally understand your comments and 100% sure you are the right man to take this club forward.
What worries me that if the men running the youth team don't produce what you are hoping for, do they get fired, and if so will that put the whole process of kickstart in a embarrassing situation to carry on with???.
Onefinfarncombe (pier)dm your number as ive not got it anymore for some reason please,we can meet up for a game and have a good catch up with everyone at gtfc, you never no milky might give us a free tab 🤣🤣 if not I won't go again lol. Also be good to meet ruggs with a beer or 2 aswell.

Will always be happy to have a beer or two once we are all able to meet up and be good to build rapport with the supporters around the club. You may even get one from me.
With kickstart (affiliation) and the u13 set up I understand it's a year down the line to ensure everything is set up properly.
In relation to the u18 side I am looking forward to see what youngsters progress and come through to the main senior side.
We all know from our own experiences that not all of them do make it to the first team level but it does open them doors to other adult teams while gathering there own experiences
We will support the youth side as much as we can from a first team, and with the management we have in place we should hopefully move forward as a group.
It's a process things won't happen over night.
Look forward to seeing you all once we are allowed to get going
Stay safe
