We are very pleased to have signed Jake Heard from Chessington and Hook who is a player that I have had a long coaching relationship with. Young John Black has joined us, an attacking player who's played for Aldershot’s U 23s. Other players joining us will be Ryan Villa, a quick wide attacking player. Samba is another player joining us and we will be looking at him with a view of adding more pace to our attack. Oghale is a defensive player joining us to add options at the back.
We have released a lot of players that we have looked at, some for reasons of lack commitment or just not befitting what we are looking for in the long term. We have lost the services of Ashley Wright and Jordan Bird.
Ashley is said to be looking for something closer to home, and Jordan is going to be concentrating on golf!! Losing Kenny was a little sad for me but again once there was no one to drive him to football it proved too difficult for him to travel.
Although we have seen lots of changes most of which have been forced on me for one reason or another, I now believe we are building a solid base of good players and people moving towards next season. We will continue to develop the young players such as Charlie, Frankie and Liam so that we set up a conveyer belt of local players for the clubs future.
I have set the squad realistic targets for the season and expect more consistent performances provided we can remain injury free.
On another note I am pleased to make jack Howard our club captain for obvious reasons, a true club leader, and Curtis as team captain, a very calm, professional leader on and off of the pitch.
