John, when you keep getting stupid mistakes like that it makes it look so damned amateurish. Let's face it you're too much of a gentleman to comment on it so someone needs to.
It only takes a few seconds to check.
Edit: And if I might be so bold as to suggest that postponed and abandoned games are shown amongst the last 10 games so it then gives a truer indication on matches. Just a thought. Edit: How about updating the News strip at the top of the forum with January and delete the November details.
One other thing wouldn't it be an idea to tidy things up and delete the Member's Draw info as surely it's no longer applicable and the same goes for coach travel section.

Apologies if there was a mistake, I’m sure it’ll be corrected at some point soon when the busy person who takes time out to do it finds the time, but just a point of clarification. If we sometimes look amateurish it might just be because we’re amateurs.

That's ok then.
I have always thought you were very professional in what you took on Giles.

Giles many thanks for this.
Just to clarify Shottermiller.
All that Volunteer there time as Amateurs do a Professional job including of course Giles as you mention.
Oh and by way yes we were without Jack Howard and I am sure he will be back in squad as soon as fit.
Oh and if you didn't know we won 1-2 with the team we were able to put out yesterday.
I see lots of people snipe about this Club whom no longer come to watch but guess all your own choice.
You should all be getting behind GTFC, players, Management team, Committee and Volunteers.
I personally want to thank all involved at GTFC
Have a great New Year and onwards and upwards for the Gees.

Thanks Onefinfarncombe; it's good that you come on but there again nobody comes on unless someone has a little "pop".
I normally thank you when you come on and answer a question. But still we get SFA from the manager on here!
I made that comment re: Jack Howard as it had been noted in Dave Ewing's excellent match report from DW game that he was carried off right at the end of the game. Must have been bad for a guy that is as hard as nails.
I don't think anyone doubts for one minute that whoever volunteers and performs their task to the best of their ability which is by trying to adopt a professional attitude but sadly sometimes that isn't quite enough and suggestions can be helpful.
I've drawn attention to mistakes on the Web Site because as a former professional printer and a postman I look at and read things and spot mistakes. That was the way things were done in my days; no keyboard with a spell checker! Yes, a keyboard but with hot lead.
I've previously reported mistakes quietly to admin and they do get altered but nobody seems to learn from their mistakes and adopt the basics of simple checking "look before you leap".
My remarks weren't mean't in a nasty manner, I was just trying to point out errors and suggest tidying things up. My choice of words might not be the best. I only went to my local Secondary Modern School, no certificates or University for me.
Anyway, enough . . . . Happy New Year everyone, things can only get better.
If I lived in Godalming I would be volunteering, being glad of something different to do. I do wonder why Cranewife disappeared. We agreed to disagree but I respected that guy for his input.
