todays article does sum up our season and we have been un luckier than most with injuries. laister, newman, stanley, lydon, mazz, ruffs, beardo, have all been out recently. if we lose tomorrow, then we will relegated basically and then hopefully we will stay up because of Chatham orTony Kempster etc...

Words can be strong but it is the deeds that count my friend. My crystal ball says a 4-1 loss.

Steer is a good manager and a very committed one at that. There are many reasons why we got relegated this season and yes, if we are to stay at this level we have to find the solution. You can't really tell whether bringing in a new manager would be good or bad for the club, but something has to change because the players looked miserable the whole game yesterday. Most of them didn't fight for the ball and thats why we lost 4-0

its not just rogers fault, he must take the blame with the players, they are all getting a nice bit of wedge from the club and frankly they havent derserved or earnt it. we have won just 8 games this season and the players have gone through the motions since the new year the club needs a new direction maybe its gone stale under roger, lets try some new ideas with a new man and some new players that just dont want the dough

Very easy to be critical! Roger has given 110% as have most of the players that have played all season when injured, and when others have let them down! Those players have fought for every thing this season! We just haven't quite been good enough, but alot of that is down to injuries and being a very small and young squad, that still have much to learn at this level!
The heartbeat of the squad are local lads who have played there for years and are not interested in the money! They will always be Godalming Town through and through and the club is very lucky to have those players!
This club has a superb manager and some very commited players! The young lads will learn and come back stronger!

grover people arent stirring, this is a forum people are entitled to their opinon and that is what i have stated. and as a paying punter i would say my opinon should matter, i am not going to say things are great when they are clearly not all i hear is such and such is great such and such is quality. roger has been in football long enough and he knows the score its a results business we havent produced the results he and the players must take the blame for that. would the club benefit with a new direction YES in my opinon

Roger Steer gives 100% + to everything he does fo rthe club. He is down there nearly everyday! Mr Bojanglez look what Roger has done, the current league we are in is the highest ever reached by the club! I can't see how you are critiscing after one seaon in the league, and one way or another we are going to stay up, and build on this! The commitment shown from the players, and the managerial staff is tremendous, and with the number of injuries we have had, we have been superb. We are a small club with a low budget and Roger is undoubtibly the right man!
Bring on next season! Gee Army. . .

How should we be doing better? Its the highest level we have ever been playing at, and it was never going to be a walk in the park. It was always going to be a struggle and, with a mix of bad luck and injuries, we have not managed to stay up. Were you supporting Godalming 3 years ago? I doubt it. And even if you were you obviously do not understand that our debut season in the Isthmian league was always going to be tough. What is this new direction? If you would care to explain it I would be happy, as a good chuckle would brighten up this I.T lesson.
